The Teaching Professor

CTL has purchased a group online subscription to The Teaching Professor, a national newsletter on college teaching, edited by Dr. Maryellen Weimer of Penn State Berks, national expert and higher education author. The newsletter is well known for its short, concise, practical yet research-embedded articles on all aspects learning, teaching, and assessment. As part of the license agreement, members of the UD community can access this valuable higher education resource at no cost. The newsletters is published ten times during the academic year. Sign up today and receive new ideas to enrich your teaching and students’ learning:

Create a new account
  1. Go to site 
  2. Select "Create a new Account", complete all fields under "Required information" and click "Create account."
  3. Open the email used to register your account and click the link to validate your account to complete your registration.
  4. Enter your email or username and password and select Login.
  5. Select "Group Subscriptions" tab at the top of the page.
  6. In the red box, enter the authorization code: You will need a UD specific authorization code to sign up. Please contact Gabriele Bauer to obtain that access information.
  7. Select Activate to access the subscription.
    Please do not share the authorization code with anyone outside our campus community. 
After completing the above one-time action, you are a registered user. If you want to receive an email reminder and link to each issue as it is published, return to the Group page and complete the information in the “Get Email Notifications” section. Once you have registered, you can access the newsletter any time, either by clicking the link in the email you will receive as each new issue is published, or:
  1. Go to site and click on “Group Subscriptions” at the top of the page.
  2. If you are not logged in, the box on the left will appear in red. Select “click here” to log in.
  3. Click on the newsletter(s) listed to access current or archived issues.
